Foreign Office, August 19, 1909. WITH reference to your letter of the 12th instant on the subject of certain opium regulations in China, I am directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to inform you that the reference, made in his despatch No. 70 of the 10th March, 1909, to Sir J. Jordan, to "the rules issued by the Provincial Government in September 1906" was intended to be to "the rules issued by the Provincial Government in September 1908."
